Silvana Agostoni

Silvana Agostoni, a multicultural visual artist with an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, works primarily in photography and video. Her art explores our perceptual contact with the world, using photography's transformative power to make the invisible visible and the intangible tactile. Agostoni's work addresses the body as physical geography, identity, and landscape, currently focusing on creating poetic visual connections between ourselves and the environment. Her art has been exhibited extensively across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with notable shows in the United States, Mexico, Japan, and Spain. Agostoni has received numerous national and international grants and residencies, with her work featured in public and private collections throughout North America and Europe.
